If you are planning a workshop in Vienna, you probably have a list of practical questions: How many people fit? Which equipment is included? How do participants get there? This article answers them for LOFT1080, a meeting venue in Josefstadt, Vienna’s 8th district.

The space

LOFT1080 is a single loft of 90 m² on two levels, plus a courtyard.

  • Main level: the meeting table, a 65-inch screen and a lounge with a sofa and armchairs.
  • Platform: a few steps up in the same room, with a large workshop table, the bar with bar stools and a 55-inch screen.
  • Courtyard: a green, quiet courtyard behind a glass sliding door, used for breaks when the weather allows.

The venue can be booked for 10 to 35 people, depending on the format. Seating options include conference style, U-shape, a circle of chairs and lounge seating. If your format changes during the day, our team rearranges the room.

Equipment

  • two screens with wireless casting (AirPlay or Miracast), HDMI and USB-C
  • a professional sound system with handheld and lavalier wireless microphones
  • a live-streaming setup
  • business-grade Wi-Fi for 35 simultaneous connections
  • dimmable professional lighting
  • flipchart, whiteboard, pinboards, a moderation kit and markers

How a workshop day could work

Here is one possible structure for a full-day workshop:

  • 09:00 Arrival: coffee and introductions.
  • 09:30 Input: presentation on the 65-inch screen on the main level.
  • 10:30 Break
  • 10:45 Group work: one group at the meeting table, another at the workshop table on the platform.
  • 12:30 Lunch
  • 13:30 Discussion in a circle of chairs: groups share their results.
  • 15:00 Break: in the courtyard if the weather allows, otherwise in the lounge.
  • 15:15 Decisions and next steps

Adjust timing and breaks to your group and your goals.

Formats that fit the space

  • Strategy workshops for leadership teams
  • Client workshops hosted by consultancies and agencies
  • Team days for new or changing teams
  • Design thinking sessions that move between input, group work and presentation
